Minister Joan-Lisa Shinault was born and raised in Yonkers, NY.  She was educated in the Yonkers Public School System and attended Binghamton University earning B.S. and M.A. degrees.  She also holds a M.S. degree from Kansas State University.  Minister Shinault also studied at, Valor Christian College in Columbus, Ohio.
 
Minister Shinault received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of 21 while attending college.  A higher education administrator and post-secondary education advocate, Minister Shinault is now committed to her God given assignment to write for the glory of God and share that writing with the masses.  God has blessed and gifted her in the areas of teaching, writing, administration and showing mercy by loving and reaching out to others. 
 
Minister Shinault is no stranger to overcoming challenges.  She is a 10 year breast cancer survivor and she proclaims, “I am not just a ‘survivor’, but a thriver.  I live to make my healing count in the lives of others.”
 
Minister Shinault makes her boast in the Lord and is not ashamed or afraid to be transparent when ministering to others.  She is a disciple of Jesus Christ and her local church, Perfecting Faith Church, located in Freeport, New York.    She currently resides in Westchester County, New York.
